Where the purchase of these chickens from hobby keepers without breeding ambitions is in principle okay, it sometimes worries us in conservation breeding as soon as these animals (possibly through ignorance) are propagated and sold as pure-bred.

Always critically question the origin of the animals and let them show you the parent animals. A reputable breeder will always ask about your experience, previous knowledge and local conditions. In addition, he is always at your side with advice and action.

Since these are small hobby breeds, there is only a limited contingent of hatching eggs. Please inquire about the possibility of acquiring young animals, hens and roosters. Quality also applies to quantity, so you may have to expect longer lead times.

It is generally possible to send hatching eggs, but you should be aware of the risk here that even with professional packaging, damage in transit in the egg, which could make development impossible, can occur. The sender has no influence on this. Shipping eggs must rest before being placed in the incubator. Please keep in mind that you should not expect good hatching results in a bad and non-calibrated breeder. Picking up the hatching eggs is always preferable if possible.

The hatching eggs are turned twice a day until they are picked up or dispatched and stored at around 13 degrees with the appropriate humidity. These are never older than a maximum of seven days.
