We dedicate a lot of heart and soul to the preservation of the Swedish flower hen in a small private breeding.
This means to preserve this old and rare land chicken as it is intended in Sweden by the "Svenska Lanthönsklubben", the Swedish conservation breeding program.
The flower chickens were first mentioned as the heaviest Swedish partridge around 1800. In 1970 the breed was considered to be almost extinct, around 500 animals still existed in three Swedish villages.
Our animals are based on original Swedish flower chickens (Skånsk Blommehöna), which come from eggs brought from Sweden to Germany.

On the following pages we would like to introduce our lovingly managed hobby breeding and provide you with valuable information about the Swedish flower hen.
